Looking Back. Moving Forward. Shaping the Future Together.

Join an international community of horse-assisted coaches, trainers, facilitators, educators, and leadership professionals for three days of exchange, inspiration, practical learning, and meaningful encounters with horses.

Whether you are already part of EAHAE or joining us for the first time, this conference is for everyone who believes that horses can help people grow, lead, connect, and change.

Why Join?

This is more than a conference.

It is an opportunity to:

  • meet experienced practitioners from many countries
  • discover new approaches to horse-assisted learning
  • develop practical ideas for your own business
  • experience workshops directly connected with horse work
  • exchange openly with colleagues in the field
  • become part of an international learning community

If you are passionate about helping people grow through meaningful encounters with horses, we look forward to welcoming you.

Conference Content

Welcome Dinner

An informal evening to arrive, reconnect, meet new people, and begin the conference in a relaxed atmosphere.

We begin with a brief welcome and an introduction to the conference theme.

Thirty Years of Learning with Horses

Presented by Gerhard Jes Krebs

How did one small idea grow into an international community working in more than 40 countries?

Gerhard Jes Krebs will take participants back to three milestones in the development of HorseDream through original video recordings:

  • the very first corporate HorseDream seminar in 1997
  • the first HorseDream Train-the-Trainer seminar in 2004
  • the first HorseDream Partner License Workshop in 2006

Together, we will explore an important question:

What has changed over three decades — and what principles have remained timeless?

Whether you already work with horses or are developing your own methodology, this session offers valuable insights into the evolution of experiential learning with horses.

What Can We Learn from the French Development of Equine Coaching?

Presented by Stéphane Wattinne

France has become one of Europe’s most dynamic markets for equine-assisted coaching.

What can practitioners in other countries learn from this development?

This interactive session explores:

  • how the profession has evolved
  • how companies perceive equine coaching today
  • which opportunities are emerging
  • what we can learn for our own markets

A valuable discussion for anyone interested in the future of our profession.

Marketing That Reflects Who You Are

Presented by Andrea Härtlein

Many excellent horse-assisted professionals struggle with marketing — not because they lack expertise, but because they find it difficult to communicate their unique value.

Instead of another lecture about social media, this highly practical workshop helps every participant develop a personal marketing strategy they can begin using immediately.

Please bring:

  • your smartphone
  • the Canva app installed
  • your favorite social media platform
  • Optional: your preferred AI tool

This is not an AI workshop.

Instead, you will discover how to translate your personal values, strengths, and professional identity into authentic communication that attracts the right clients.

You will leave with practical ideas, greater clarity, and a concrete action plan.

Afternoon Horse Sessions

The ideas from the morning become direct experience in the arena.

Participants will explore selected themes through horse-assisted exercises, observation, interaction, and shared reflection.

From Doing to Being

What Horses and Donkeys Teach Us About Relationship

Presented by Petra Buchholz and Verena Neuse

Many equine-assisted programs focus on achieving goals.

But what happens when we stop trying to accomplish something — and simply enter into relationship with a horse or a donkey?

Together, we will explore themes such as:

  • presence
  • authenticity
  • trust
  • voluntary connection
  • body awareness
  • stillness
  • genuine relationship

Through dialogue, participant experiences, stories, and short videos, we will compare the unique qualities of horses and donkeys as learning partners.

In the afternoon, these ideas become direct experience in the arena.

Rather than providing ready-made answers, this workshop creates space for observation, curiosity, and personal discovery.

As one EAHAE member beautifully said:

“HorseDream is the shortest path from human doing to human being.”

Bullying at Work

A New Business Opportunity for Equine-Assisted Professionals

Presented by Beate Blankenburg

Workplace bullying costs companies enormous amounts of money through absenteeism, stress-related illness, loss of productivity, and employee turnover.

Yet many organizations still struggle to recognize and address the underlying dynamics.

Following earlier research by Petra Heusel, Beate Blankenburg has developed a practical horse-assisted program that helps participants identify, understand, and prevent bullying in organizations.

During the workshop you will learn:

  • why bullying is often overlooked
  • what companies currently do — and why it often falls short
  • how horse-assisted learning can offer a sustainable alternative
  • how this topic can open new opportunities for working with organizations

The afternoon horse session allows participants to experience the approach firsthand.

Whether your focus is leadership, team development, or organizational culture, this workshop provides both meaningful content and practical business opportunities.

Shaping the Future Together

The conference concludes by looking ahead.

Together we will develop ideas for future international projects, including:

  • Horse Assisted Education Week 2027
  • the 20th EAHAE International Conference
  • new collaborative initiatives
  • international cooperation
  • innovative learning formats

Whether you are already part of the EAHAE community or joining us for the first time, your ideas and experience are welcome.

Who Should Attend?

This conference is especially valuable for:

  • horse-assisted coaches and trainers
  • leadership and team development professionals
  • facilitators working with horses, donkeys, or other animals
  • HR professionals interested in experiential learning
  • EAHAE members and partners
  • non-members who want to explore the international EAHAE community
  • anyone interested in the future of horse-assisted education

You do not need to be an EAHAE member to join.

What Makes This Conference Different?

The EAHAE Conference is built around a simple rhythm:

Morning: ideas, workshops, dialogue

Afternoon: direct experience with horses

This means you do not only hear about concepts. You experience them, reflect on them, and explore how they can enrich your own work.

We invite you to join us for the 19th EAHAE International Conference and celebrate 30 years of HorseDream with an international community of practitioners.

Special Guest

Saturday Evening, after dinner, we welcome back Florian Kirner, also known as Prince Chaos II. Florian is a singer, author, storyteller, and owner of Schloss Weitersroda in Southern Thuringia. His performances have become a much-loved tradition at our conferences, combining music, stories, humor, and thoughtful reflection in a relaxed atmosphere.

Conference Dates: August 14–16, 2026

Arrival: Friday, August 14, from 15:00

Welcome Dinner: Friday, August 14, 19:00

Conference Days: Saturday and Sunday, August 15–16

We Look Forward to Welcoming You
